Chronology of cameras Casio
The Casio QV-3000 EX is a version of the QV-3000 sold with an IBM Microdrive. The set is sold cheaper than if you had to buy the camera and the Microdrive separately. Microdrive is a brand owned by IBM, and it represents hard drives that can replace CompactFlash memory cards. The connectivity is similar, and the hard drive fits into the card slot, which is made compatible by enlarging the slot. The capacities of Microdrives are much larger than those of CF cards and can thus satisfy photographers producing a large number of files.
The QV-3000 was the first camera to reach a resolution of 3.3 megapixels as early as April 2000. It has a zoom, manufactured by Canon, which some may regret the absence of a slightly shorter focal length, but it's of good quality. There is also a 2x digital zoom.
The user interface (UI) is clear and easy to use. It's possible to manually adjust the zoom and choose between speed or aperture priority.
A mini-screen located on the top of the camera allows access to the main settings without having to turn on the rear screen, which consumes more power.
This model features a very unique and possibly unique function. As photos are taken, they are integrated into an HTML file, and at the end of the session, you only need to send the created file and the image files, and you will get a small website.
In 2001, Casio released the same camera, but in black, under the name QV-3500 EX.
