Chronology of cameras Polaroid

This camera is evolved from the very common Polaroid Swinger model 20. The front mechanisms of both cameras are identical: same single 1/200 sec. shutter speed, and exposure setting using the same extinction meter principle.

The Big Swinger 3000 gets its name "Big" from the size of the pictures it takes on type 100 pack film, bigger than roll film pictures produced by the Swinger model 20. The "3000" stands for the single film speed that restricted the user choice only to 3000 ASA black and white film.

In 1969, the german Porst reseller sold the Big Swinger 3000 for 99 Deutsche Mark.
