Chronology of cameras Canon
The Demi series comprises cameras using 135 film but producing 18 x 24mm negatives. Only the Demi Rapid is an exception as it uses 35mm film but in Rapid cartridges.
The lenses are bright. Their focal length is 28 or 30mm, which is the standard focal length in half-frame format. The Demi C has interchangeable lenses; a 50mm lens (equiv. to 100mm) can replace the standard lens.

It was in 1966 that this new Demi appeared, following the development by the company's technicians of the CdS light meter. Without entirely changing the facade, the light meter occupies the usual position of the viewfinder. The viewfinder is shifted to the location previously occupied on earlier versions of the Demi by the honeycomb grid.
The format is, of course, 18 x 24 on 135 film, since it is a Demi.
