Chronology of cameras Zeiss Ikon
This Ikoflex II is a post-war model. On this copy, it is quite easily spotted, because it is equipped with a Zeiss-Opton Tessar lens, therefore manufactured in the west part, but there is another variant, assembled in the West but with a Tessar lens signed Carl Zeiss Iena , from the VEB (Volkseigener Betrieb: people's factory) Zeiss Ikon.
It is also recognized by the prominent cover around the taking lens. The settings values appear at the top of this embossment, on either side of the viewing lens. The later version will show a grouping of the display in a single point.
