Chronology of cameras Anthony and Scovill
La company Ansco adopted this name only from 1907. Prior to that, it was called Anthony and Scovill. Ansco is a contraction of the two parts of this name, which had already been used for camera models even before it was officially applied to the company.
The name Anthony & Scovill itself is the result of the merger of two companies in 1902, Anthony and Scovill & Adams.
Some of the models manufactured during the Anthony & Scovill era continued their production under the Ansco brand. I have not been able to precisely identify this particular model.
