This Standard Foca , in a state of almost wreck would not retain much attention if it was not a 18 x 24 mm format !
The quality of the work suggests a modification made by the OPL company, and the fact that there is at least one other copy eliminates a transformation for personal use.
It may be noted that the Foca " Poste" also had their own very particular format, 24 x 27 mm .
Everything is consistent in this adaptation , the field of the viewfinder, the shooting window , and especially the film winding coupled to the shutter cocking , that should be delicate as a mechanical intervention .
This specimen , No. 69524 has two flash synchronizations, and it is likely that it was intended for professional street photographers who were already adept of the model Standard, but that would probably have been happy with a 50% saving on the film...
Different parts are stamped " P21 " which could mean Prototype 21, but it is by no means one of the rare pre-series Foca showing the letter P engraved on the cover.
This camera belonged to a named ALEX who has artistically carved his name in place of the plate normally bearing the star.
The rear view shows the shooting window , reduced by means of two lateral flaps .
