Chronology of cameras Mazo
Mazo liked the emphatic names: Gladiator, Imperator, Bayard etc ... but it was fashionable at the time.
On this model, the name is embossed onto the morocco of the front panel, but reading is not so easy, and the identification of this model was the subject of discussion on the forum of the site.
You can not miss the hole. Normally there should be the valve on which the pneumatic release tube is connected.
The graduations of the distance setting are on the ring around the lens. A lever moves the helicoids on which the lens is mounted. The lens can be removed for use on other camera thanks to a conversion ring sold by Mazo.
One of the two keys located on the front allows you to cock the shutter while the other allows you to adjust the speed. In addition to the bulb trigger, it is possible to trigger by pressing the button located at the bottom left part of the front panel. Engravings show a different arrangement of settings on a Gladiator.
This Gladiator was more expensive than the Cimbre.
