Très étrangement le catalogue France Photo de 1959 présente ce minuscule appareil comme étant le plus petit appareil français alors qu'il n'a rien de français. Il y a une confusion (voulue ?) entre de "fabrication française" et "vendu en France".
Le Microphot est une des multiples variantes du Colibri de 1952, fabriqué par Knoedler.
