Chronology of cameras Cadot
This camera has the particularity of being made of aluminum. The choice of finishing level allows for either polished aluminum or covered. The polished aluminum version is more expensive than the covered one.
There is also a 13 x 18 version, but it is only sold covered. It seems that polished aluminum versions are rarely found nowadays. Perhaps they were less popular.
The brand of the shutter is not mentioned, but it is mentioned that it is American. It may be Bausch and Lomb.
The usual choice of lenses of the time is available: Tessar, Goerz Dagor, unbranded rectilinear, and Cadot anastigmat. Tessar and Dagor are the most expensive.
