Chronology of cameras Adams and Co.

Adams & Co manufactured the Vesta cameras from 1908 to 1932, in various formats for plates or roll films.

The Vesta Vest Pocket was produced between 1912 and 1914 and is one of the smallest cameras ever made. The construction is overall of good quality, entirely made of metal covered with black lacquered leather. This camera uses plates of 2 5/16 x 1 3/4 inches.

It features a Newton viewfinder that automatically folds down on top of the lens board, with a sighting rod on top of the housing that simultaneously serves as a locking mechanism for the camera. A lever at the front allows focusing on a circular scale from 1.5 feet to infinity. The struts are of the scissor type. Almost all metal parts are painted black.

The shutter is a F. Deckel Compur, offering speeds from 1 to 1/250, plus B and T. The lens is a Zeiss-Ross Tessar 4.5/75 mm.
