Chronology of cameras Phenix
The Phenix DC 303K is a Pentax K mount SLR camera with manual exposure control.
This is the version sold in Great Britain by the company Firstcall Photographic Ltd from the second half of 2005. An older version existed with the same Phenix DC 303K reference.
The viewfinder is uncluttered, the information being limited to 3 diodes (correct exposure, over and under exposure).
Focusing is manual with a split-image range finder line at a 45° angle surrounded by a microprism doughnut.
In addition to long time exposure (B), the shutter speed ranges from 1 second to 1/2000.
A weakness of this camera body is the black plastic battery door which becomes brittle over time.
The camera was sold with a 50 mm f1:1.7.
In addition to this basic offer, Firstcall Photographic Ltd was also offering a flash (reference PH280A) and 3 lenses in its catalog:
- 24 mm f1: 2.8 (wide angle)
- 28-70mm f1:3.4-4.8 (zoom)
- 28-105mm (zoom)
This version of the Phenix DC 303K was also sold by Kenko under the reference Kenko KF-4PK.
