Konica Big Mini

Tranduction de Alphonse Khuu

The Big Mini is a new camera and not a change of name of the A4 one. It is smaller than the latter.

The Big Mini has a full name BM-201 suggesting at its release the future existence of a full range of similar cameras.

The Big Mini is small in size and big on its performance.
Its lens is a 3.5/35mm (4 elements) whose minimum distance of focus is 35cm. The autofocus is relentless up to infinity. The electronic flash is automatic, but can be disconnected. It allows the fill-in.
The control of the film loading, film advance and rewinding is automatic and motorized. It is possible to rewind the film before the end of it.

On the rear cover of the camera is there an LCD (liquid crystal display) where are displayed status of the battery, the frame counter, the film advance and the rewinding, the exposure correction on purpose (+ or - 1.5 IL) and the self-timer.

The viewfinder shows more than the photographed field. Bright frame lines give its boundaries.

The exposure control is provided by a CdS cell. The coupling boundaries are 3.5 seconds at f/3.5 and 1/500 at f/16.
