Chronology of cameras Futura
Made from 1952 to 1955 in Freiburg by Futura Kamerawerk GmbH, this model is among the first in the range.
The "P" for the Prontor SV shutter made it different from its predecessor fitted with a Compur Rapid.
These last two are distinguished from the following because their name is written on a black background. On the specimen equipped with the Compur, writing is more stylized. (for easy recognition).
The speeds are ranging from B exposure to 1/300. The lens is a 50mm 1:2 Evar, but you can find this model equipped with a 3.5 / 45mm or 2.8 / 45 mm. It is equipped with a flash sync socket that is not found on the Compur
I find that this camera has a lot of charm with its round and sober shapes.
