Chronology of cameras Canon
Approximately 4,000 units of the Canon 7Sz were produced from August 1967 to September 1968 (serial numbers: 100,000 to 123,014). It discreetly replaced the Canon 7S, with Canon not communicating about the change. Moreover, the marking remained 7S on the 7Sz.
The few visible differences include the diameter of the film rewind crank and the position of the rangefinder adjustment screw. On the 7S, it is located next to the speed selector, whereas on the 7Sz, it is located near the second 'N' of the word Canon, on the top cover.
