Chronology of cameras Krasnogorsk
The Zorki 1c is an evolution of the Zorki 1a and 1b, which are development of the FED-ZORKI, born in late 1947 when it was decided to produce this camera in Moscow.
So this is a camera confusingly resembling to a Leica III, 35mm rangefinder type, with 39 mm screw mount interchangeable lenses.
One differentiates a Fed-Zorki from a Leica, especially by the shape of the rangefinder cam, which is a rounded triangular on the Russian camera while it is perfectly cylindrical on a Leica.
The shutter is a curtain, focal plane type providing speeds from 1 / 20th of a second to 1 / 500th of a second and Z exposure. It has no flash sync. It is necessary to cock the shutter before changing gears, otherwise you may damage irreparably the camera.....
The film loading is done by removing the base, leading to a difficult manipulation, especially if you have cold fingers .....
The standard lens is an Industar 22 f: 3.5 / 50mm telescopic that will be mounted on almost all models of Zorki 1 and 2.
These cameras were produced between 1951 and 1953 in two variations: The K70 engraved Cyrillic, and the K71 with Zorki in Cyrillic and Latin.
