This camera dates from the middle of the 60s, as lets it think its connector for flashcube. The rotation of this one is manual and is done using the large serrated roller located on the left. Above the camera is a two batteries compartment. There is no setting on this camera.
The most original feature of this camera is its similarity with Halina Roy, manufactured in Hong-Kong.
Starting in 1961, the Herbert George company was succeeded by Imperial. The cameras produced by the new brand continued in the same vein as those of Herbert George.
According to the patent application dates, Imperial remained active until the early 1980s but increasingly shifted production to Asia.
The patents filed by Imperial Camera Corp. list George Irwin as the inventor, who had already worked for Herbert George in the latter half of the 1950s. The illustrations accompanying the patent applications correspond to Herbert George or Imperial cameras and accessories.
