History of the brand Konica New window

The Mju from Olympus, released in 1991, made one forgetr this lovely little camera  with amazing  size, performance and design in 1989. It is time to rediscover it and especially compare it to what was manufactured at the same time.

Its size is close to that of a Minox 35 ML.... Without the front flap!

Its 35mm lens is fitted with an efficient autofocus system. The minimum distance of focus is 60 centimeters, but a position of close focusing down that distance to 35 centimeters! Its compactness and focusing possibilities make it an excellent "notepad" to keep permanently in your pocket.

The view finding is very comfortable and key information are displayed in the viewfinder, in addition to those shown on the LCD screen. The latter is located on the back.

The integral flash is switchable. It can be used as a fill-in and also works when "close focusing" is enabled. Its guide number is surprising: 18 It is powered by lithium battery of the camera.

If this battery powers the main functions, a second battery supplies the LCD screen and allows the storage of the information contained on it. The second battery is inserted inside back, under the pressure roller. It must be changed every two years.

Contemporary compact cameras do not always gather such performances and above all, were much bigger.

This camera was elected "European Compact of the Year" in 1989.
