Chronology of cameras Carena
Traduction de Manuel M
If there is a KSM 2, it is because there is a KSM 1. Both differs only by visualization of the value of the diaphragm in the viewfinder of the KSM 2.
The two models are with mounting Pentax K, from where this K at the beginning of their name. They are semi-automatic cameras, whose measure of exposure is provided by two CdS cells. Posting in the viewfinder is made by means of three diodes (on the right side). In a very usual way, green indicates the correct exposure, whereas the reds indicate up and under-exposure.
The focusing is facilitated by a rangefinder with crossed fields with horizontal break, surrounded by a crown of microprisms.
These cameras are motorisables thanks to the Auto--Winder EX (recocking and non motor).
There exists also one Carena KS, more economic version, not motorisable and whose viewfinder does not comprise a rangefinder with cross fields.
The KSM 1 and KSM 2 are in black completion, whereas the KS exists only in chrome completion.
It is about a Cosina manufacture.
