Chronology of cameras Belca
This camera is marked Veb Belca1, connecting it to the Veb Pentacon consortium. It is a dual-format camera, supporting 6 x 6 or 6 x 9 formats. A removable cover allows reducing the chamber to the 6 x 6 format. In this case, you need to set up a hinged flap located in the viewfinder, operated by the round button to the right of it. The shutter release retracts when closing the camera, preventing inadvertent triggering.
1VEB stands for Volkseigener Betrieb, which translates to People's Own Enterprise
