The Chinon CXII is elegant with its cladding partially covering the hood of prism. (Unfortunately, with a tendency to come off)

The used lenses are to be with screw, M42.

The CXII is an improved variant of CM. The two cameras share a common metal shutter curtain ranging from 1 second to 1/1000 per sec.

A cell (or two?) located in the viewfinder meters the exposure. The activation of the light-meter is done by pressing lightly on the release button. The viewfinder is dark because the metering is done with the real aperture.

The CXII has, in addition, a self-timer and a device for battery checking with LEDs. Next to the release button, there is a device for the double exposure.
