Chronology of cameras Argus

Traduction de Manuel M

The camera is ugly (which says the opposite?) and if it were not called Argus, it would have ended in the section Last exit before the trashcan”.

During years, I preserved it at the bottom of a cupboard, but I ended by me to say that it deserved a small presentation.
It is on the one hand:
the symbol of the degeneration of certain famous brands, whose name ends up being takeovered, at best by Japanese serious corporates, in the worst case and too often, by Chinese plastic manufacturers,
on the other hand, that of an aspect of Ebay which seems completed.

I knew Ebay at one time when Internet was not yet a mass phenomenon  Ebay, then only in American version, gathered more impassioned than of retailers. One day, while buying an Argus (a truth, not out of plastic this one), I fall on an associate member of the collectors of Argus pheasant. By opening the parcel, I discover a surprise, besides the bought camera; this very new camera, still packed in its plastic of origin.
