Version "bon marché" of the F90 wich was too expensive and had low sales. But even so, the F50 was more expensive than its competitors.
The control wheel of the F90 is replaced by a set of keys to ergonomics questionable, especially when you have to used in place of the aperture ring (which must necessarily be placed on the orange colored aperture number)
So, using the most convenient is to select "Auto Program". But in that case, why have foreseen all the other possibilities?
The shutter is metal shutters and vertical scrolling. It is synchronized to 1 / 125 and provides speeds 1 / 2000 to 30 seconds and T.

It was produced from 1994 to 1999 and sold for approx. 2500 Francs body only.
It was sold with a Nikon AF 35-80 1:4 to 1:5,6 open but this one was found with two Sigma zooms. For the photo, it was equipped with an AF Nikkor 35-70 1:3.3-1:4.5 a little more "fitting" .
