Chronology of cameras Chinon
In 1970, Chinon was still only a subcontractor for other camera brands. It was only around 1972 that the first cameras were marketed under the Chinon brand. At that time, it was easy to follow a naming logic for the first models:
EE = Electronic Eye
F = Flash
A = Autofocus
M = Motor

With the 35 FX III, Chinon reached the limits of its naming logic. Despite being called 34, this model no longer has anything in common with its predecessors.

The Chinon 35 F-M is the motorized (frame-by-frame) evolution of the Chinon 35 F-EE. It was introduced at the 33rd Paris Salon in 1979. The exposure control locks the camera in case of insufficient light.
