The new FM2 (which one calls sometimes FM2n, whereas “n” does not appear on the model) is an evolution of the FM2. This one arrived precociously, hardly more than one year after the launch of the first.
Among the evolutions, there is the increase of the speed of synchro from 1/200 to 1/250.
The first FM2n’s profited from the curtain with a structure in honeycomb of the FE2. Thereafter, towards end of the year 80, there was passage to a curtain with flat plates, out of aluminum. The specimen presented is of the first type.
