Chronology of cameras Cadot
The "Cyclos" Detective is a folding camera whose front part is constructed like that of an ordinary detective camera, meaning it contains all the components such as the lens, shutter, variable focus device, bulb or hand release, clear viewfinders, etc.
This small camera, which comes with 12 single frames only 4 millimeters thick, is arranged in such a way that it can be folded while leaving the frame in place, with or without the shutter removed. So, if an unexpectedly quick subject needs to be captured, one can aim the camera just as quickly as with a rigid-shaped detective camera, as the camera opens in one motion and the plate is already prepared in front of the lens.
(from Annuaire 1898)
