Chronology of cameras Ricoh
SL... Souvent dans la nomenclature Ricoh le S désigne un appareil muni d'un retardateur (Self Timer ?) et le L pourrait symboliser un appareil avec une optique plus lumineuse.
Alors que tous les appareils de la série sont équipés d'un 25 mm ouvrant à f/2,8, le SL arbore un 35 mm 1,7 à six lentilles.
Si l'on excepte l'Auto-Half dit "Zone-Focus" c'est le seul Auto-Half possédant un réglage de mise au point.
Ceci est rendu nécessaire, la focale plus longue et l'ouverture maximale nettement plus importante diminuant fortement la profondeur de champ.
C'est également le seul utilisant un posemètre CdS les autres ayant un posemètre avec cellule au sélénium.
L'Auto-Half SL est donc un modèle bien à part dans la série des Ricoh Auto-Half.
