Chronology of cameras Ansco

The Ansco Speedex 45 is the Americanized version of one of the German Isolette models. Both the shutter and the lens are American-made, both manufactured by Wollensak.

Its name comes from the maximum aperture of its lens.

The engraving in the Montgomery Ward catalog shows an example in black color, but it appears that the model also existed in a metal finish.
