Chronology of cameras Chinon

Starting in 1986, ChiNo marketed two ranges of cameras. Those with names ending in "1" were autofocus cameras, offering sometimes innovative features. The Auto G series provided simpler and more affordable models.

Auto GX 4.5/35 mm FF No, then Yes
Auto GLX   3.9/35 mm AF Yes
Auto GLX Tele 1987 35 et 60 mm AF
Auto GL 1988 35 mm FF
Auto GL-AF 1989 3.9/35 mm AF
Auto GL-S 4.5/35 mm FF
Auto GL II   1992 4.5/35 mm FF

__________

This bi-focal compact was presented at the Photokina in 1986. The two focal lengths are 35 mm and 55 mm. While it is correct to refer to the 35 mm as Wide, the term Tele is inappropriate for the longer focal length, which is only standard.
In the Wide-angle position, there is no focusing, whereas in the "normal" position, there are two possible distances. It is noteworthy that the presentation in the Foto-Quelle catalog is accompanied by an AF logo.
There is only one shutter speed, 1/100.
