Chronology of cameras Chinon
In 1970, Chinon was still only a subcontractor for other camera brands. It was only around 1972 that the first cameras were marketed under the Chinon brand. At that time, it was easy to follow a naming logic for the first models:
EE = Electronic Eye
F = Flash
A = Autofocus
M = Motor

With the 35 FX III, Chinon reached the limits of its naming logic. Despite being called 34, this model no longer has anything in common with its predecessors.

The Chinon 35 FS-II was introduced at Photokina in 1984, along with the 35 F-II and the 35 FS-A. It is more advanced than the 35 F-II but lacks the autofocus feature of the FS-A.
