By the time this model was released, the belief that a black camera was more "professional" than a chrome or silver one had gone out of fashion. The black bodies even looked poor next to the silver versions.
Whether black or silver, the F65 was a low-end camera when it was released but it gleefully outdates prestige cameras hardly older.
