Chronology of cameras Argus

The Argus a is simply composed of two plastic parts, one for the body, dark gray in color, and another, lighter, for the front. On the top, there is a large knob for advancing the film. The viewfinder is oversized. The red lever is the shutter release, but while everything is large on this model, it is small.

On the top of the front part, there are two brass sockets for attaching a flash.

Argus also offered the Argus 127. Both cameras are related, but the Argus 127 has an aperture setting under the front window of the viewfinder (f/11 or f/16) that the Argus a does not have. One might think that the small plate marked "Argus a" hides a positioning mark for the hole of this adjustment.

The same camera was sold (manufactured?) in Argentina by Indumag under the name Leduc X127.
