The Vivitar T101 is a compact camera with little technical or aesthetic appeal, until its transparent version became a promotional item offered in many variations. While the technical aspects still don't warrant much discussion, the existence of pink, blue hues, and the color changes in mechanical parts make the model a bit more attractive.
Collectors can have fun seeking out various brands that have placed their logos on this camera.
As for Vivitar's role, it is likely that they limited their involvement to licensing the brand to the manufacturer in Hong Kong (where Vivitar had offices), Asia Optical Industries Ltd.
