Chronology of cameras Camera Corp of America

Traduction de Manuel M

Perfex Speed is the first camera of the brand Camera Corp. of America, and it is also ugliest.

This Ugly Duckling gives the impression to have had Frankenstein for dad and that this one has it built starting from other things.
The viewfinder is completely decentred, which harms centring and the catch in hand of the camera. There is a rangefinder not coupled with the adjustment of distance from the lens. It is far away from the viewfinder, separated by the button of speeds adjustment. The lens is interchangeable, which must make even more difficult centring and focusing. There is also an extinctometer…. under the camera.
Between the viewfinder, the rangefinder and the extinctometer, that become very complicated to know where to put its nose, its eye and its hand!

Important thing, it was the first 35 mm American to have a focal plane shutter.
