The Contessamat SBE is the most sophisticated of the series of Contessamat. Like all those, it has the automatism of exposure with possibility of selecting thespeed, but moreover, it has an automatism with the flash by coupling of the ring of the distances with those of the apertures, which allows by making the focusing with the rangefinder to adjust simultaneously the aperture to be used.

This camera was very expensive, since in 1965 it was sold 937 francs, that is to say the same price as a Foca URC without lens.
