Ce Polyscop 45 x 107 est probablement le plus élaboré de la série.
Il dispose d’un viseur reflex entre les deux objectifs Tessar Carl Zeiss de 6,5 cm ouverts à 4,5. ( N° 190284 et 179104)
La mise au point, jusqu’à 1 mètre, se fait par une double hélicoïde qui avance ou recule l’ensemble de la platine avant. Un décentrement de 7 mm est possible vers le haut.
L’obturateur à guillotine et armement préalable va de la double pose jusqu’au 1/250e de seconde. (Z 3 5 10 25 50 100 250)
Les diaphragmes 4,5, 8 et 16 sont donnés par une lame à trous.
Il dispose d’un magasin amovible pouvant recevoir 12 plaques extra-fines.
Le viseur à pinnule et lentille divergente a été retiré sur cet exemplaire. Pour être mis sur un support, il a un trou pour une broche, mais qui est fileté au début au pas du Congrès.
Un niveau à bulle complète son équipement.
Le corps est en aluminium, les parties apparentes finement polies, le reste soigneusement gainé de maroquin noir. La façade est laquée noir.
En conclusion, un très bel appareil, d’une construction et d’une finition excellente.

Sur le côté gauche de la face avant on peut lire : Ica Akt – Ges. Dresden, gravé probablement quand Zulauf a Intégré ICA.

In 1895, Gottlieb Zulauf, a precision mechanic, took over a mechanical and optical workshop in Zurich. Specializing in microscopes, he diversified his production and began building photographic cameras equipped with Steinheil lenses from Munich.
Around 1907, he introduced the "Bébé," a small folding camera in 4.5 x 6 cm (and 6.5 x 9) plate formats. In 1909, he launched a range of stereoscopic binoculars called the Polyscop, which had been under development since 1903.

Zeiss then proposed a merger with ICA in Dresden, and in 1911, Gottlieb accepted the position of technical director at ICA. The production of the Bébé and Polyscop cameras continued under the ICA brand.
After the war, Gottlieb returned to Switzerland and took over a photographic supplies store in Zurich, while ICA continued production.

The Zulauf cameras were marked with "Bébé" or "Polyscop," but they did not carry the brand name.

According to the 12th edition of McKeown's Price Guide to Antique and Classic Cameras, page 1064, there is mention of an identification mark "G.Z.C" within an oval, and distribution was handled by Zeiss and G.A. Krauss, the inventor of the Polyscop.
