Le Rectaflex Rotor est un Rectaflex normal sur lequel a été montée une platine rotative pouvant accueillir trois objectifs différents. Le but est de faciliter le travail d'un reporter, alors que le concept de zoom n'existe pas encore. Le poids de l'ensemble et son encombrement seront toutefois un frein au succès.
Les objectifs standard de l'ensemble étaient des Angénieux. Un 35 mm, un 50 et un 135 constituaient l'équivalent d'un zoom transtandard.
