Le Nikon S est une amélioration du Nikon M. Il est désormais doté d'une synchro-flash. Comme pour le M, la copie du Contax est flagrante.
Ce modèle est intéressant, car il marque le réel démarrage de la marque en dehors des frontières nippones.
