Chronology of cameras Kodak

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand

The first model of Retinette built after the second world war uses the same body as Retina 010. The differences between these two cameras are on the level of the shutters and the lenses. The Retina range have the Compur-Rapid shutters, whereas Retinette must be satisfied with Prontor. The lenses of Retina are Xenar or Ektar or Ysar with 3,5 opening. Retinettes must be satisfied with more modest lenses opening only to 4,5.

In the case of the presented camera, the lens is Angénieux. The shutter is also French, perhaps Atos. Since you attentively read the other pages of my site, you can that this final assembly in France made it possible “to circumvent” the tariff barriers instituted in the years of post-war period, in order to start again the national economy.
