Chronology of cameras Canon
The AF35 M was the best-selling autofocus compact camera in France during its career. As Canon aimed to evolve it further, they needed to surpass themselves to maintain their leading position, all while ensuring it didn't overshadow their high-end compact, the AF35 ML.
The first area of improvement was the reduction in size and weight. Along with this came a modernized design. Additionally, battery life was enhanced. At the end of the film roll, power is cut off, unlike the first model where a diode indicated the end of the film but left the motor running.
The lens received upgrades as well. It is now protected by a double eyelid, similar to the Snappy.
This camera also comes in a "Quartz Date" version, featuring a date back.
