Chronology of cameras Asahi Bussan
The distributor Candid Camera Supply Co. chose Asahi Bussan and its Olympic cameras as a supplier several times. This was evident with the Olympic Mod. C.
Apart from being constructed of Bakelite and having a Ukas 50 mm triplet lens, the Super Olympic shares few similarities with the mentioned camera.
In contrast to the Olympic C, even though it possesses a similar engraved ring, the Super Olympic D features a non-telescopic fixed lens and a removable back rather than a hinged one.
This camera holds historical significance, as its initial version competes with the Hansa Canon for the title of the first Japanese 35 mm film camera.
