Chronology of cameras Olympus
The Olympus FE-5030, FE-4030 et X-960 share the same user manual. The FE-4030 differs externally in the layout of its control buttons.
Technically, all three of them are 14-megapixel cameras with the same 1/2.33-inch sensor. The zoom on the FE-4030 is a 4.7 - 18.6 mm (equivalent to 26 - 105 mm), while the other two models have a 4.7 - 23.5 mm zoom (equivalent to 26 - 130 mm). The FE-5030 and X-960 have a feature that allows for increased sensitivity (ISO Auto) to reduce motion blur.
The existence of two identical models under two different names (FE-5030 and X-960) is not explained in the user manual. It is purely an aesthetic choice; the FE-5030 (like the FE-4050) has a dual-layer coating with a crystal effect, available in gray, blue, pink, or white. On the front, this is accompanied by a stylized FE logo.
