Chronology of cameras Certo

The Dolly is either a klapp (X-shaped struts) or a folding camera. Both types use 127 film, but the first produces negatives of 3 x 4 cm and inherits the name Dolly 3 x 4, while the second produces larger negatives (4 x 6.5 cm).
Both models coexisted in the 1930s.

Each of the two types is subdivided into two models, each with numerous variants depending on the shutter and lens model:

1 The B model of the klapp has focus adjustment through a radial lever.
2 The B model of the folding camera is hybrid: film and plate.

__________

Poor old folding camera isn't looking too shiny! It's probably spent 30 or 40 years in a damp cellar, which has been fatal to its bellows, the glue of which hasn't held up.

The bellows deployment and the setting up of the shutter/lens block are automatic. A small lever, triggered by the opening of the bellows, simultaneously opens the frame viewfinder.

Notice the convoluted shape of the front support legs of the block. This is explained by the need to connect the folding part and the block during automatic opening, while ensuring that the front of the lens doesn't rub against the folding part when the camera is closed.
