Le Canon PowerShot A60, successeur du A40 (le A50 n'existant pas), a été le premier appareil photo numérique milieu de gamme à proposer le choix entre priorité à l’ouverture ou à la vitesse, ainsi qu'un mode entièrement manuel. Il est aussi plus petit et plus léger que son prédécesseur.
Il permet la macro à 5 cm.
