Traduction de Sylvain Halgand

Ajax III S resembles a lot to D'Assas-Lux. The only true difference is the shutter. That of Ajax III S (Gitzo) reaches only 1/200 of second. The lens is strictly same Boyer Topaz 3,5/75 mm.
If in both cases, the shape of the camera is the same one (with a very light modification of the cap for Of D'Assas-Lux), the materials are different. Ajax IIIS is a whole metal. The body is mainly covered with gray frosted painting. The manufacture of Assas-Lux has more recourse to the plastic and the body (always made of sheet) is covered with a black plastic sleeving.
This 6 X 6 is with returning tube. It is photographed here in position "close". There is no safety against a shooting in this state.
