Chronology of cameras Canon
Traduction de Sylvain Halgand
The FT-QL launched almost at the same time as Pellix. If the cases are enough resembling, inside, it is different. The FT-QL marks the abandonment of the semi-transparent and fixes mirror, present on Pellix. The mirror proved too sensitive to frictions of the users who wanted to clean it.
The FT-QL has in frontage, on the right (nonvisible on the picture), a lever to raise and block the mirror. The lever on the left is that of the retarder.
Although it has on the photograph, a lens of series FD, the lenses of the FT-QL belonged to series FL. The FD will appear with F1 in 1971.
The shutter goes up until the 1/1000 secondes. Around the crank of rewinding, a lever of test of the battery is.
In 1968, will leave the TL.QL, a simplified version of this camera, without the 1/1000, raising of the mirror, retarder nor test of the battery.
