Chronology of cameras Canon
Traduction de Sylvain Halgand
Canon AE-1 launched in 1976. It met enormous successes and gave a great line : AT-1 (semi-automatic), A-1 (double automatism), then AV-1.
The AV-1 is it opposite of the AE-1. The elder was a speed priority, this one is aperture priority (nondisengageable).
There Canon saw the means of leaving a less expensive camera, because a aperture priority seems to contain less parts than a priority at the speed. To obtain the minimum price, the camera is deprived of depth of field test.
The large advantage of this camera, it is that it shares the range of lenses and accessories of the AE-1 and A-1.
At the time, it was the ideal second camera for which had a AE-1.
My part, I had chosen a AE-1 and A-1.
