Chronology of cameras Canon
The name Sure Shot Multi Tele was for the American market. In Europe it was known as the Prima Tele, and in Japan the Autoboy Tele 6.
The camera is both dual lens and dual format 36 x 24 mm or 24 x17 mm, selected by the little yellow lever INSIDE the camera.
Canon also sold a 1.25X teleconverter for this camera so the available combinations of focal length were:
1. Full frame 36 x 24 mm: 35 mm or 60 mm;
2. Full frame with teleconverter: 44 mm or 75 mm;
3. Half frame 24 x 17 mm: equivalent to about 52 mm or 88 mm in full frame;
4. Half frame with teleconverter: equivalent to about 65 mm or 110 mm in full frame.
