Le Canon Prima Super 90 Wide remplace le Prima Super 28V, sorti près de 6 ans plus tôt. La focale courte reste la même, mais le téléoobjectif gagne 20 mm. Pour autant le corps du nouveau modèle est moins épais que son prédécesseur.
